I really just came here to see if anyone else thinks the same thing and I'm delighted that so many of you do. When you say that something has a plasticky note, that is typically not a very attractive thing in my mind. But this has shown me that there is a way for that to be a good thing. One of the top selling perfumes of the 1980-es, one of those bold, powerful, distinguishing, and timeless fragrances.Loulou is a controversial perfume that people either like, or dislike, the one that provoke different emotions, and indifference for sure is not one of them. The perfume itself is actually a little naughty in my book (in the best way, of course).I am not yet able to pick out any but the most obvious notes (and still learning to discern individual notes at that).
The top notes are composed of violet, plum black currant, marigold and anis; the heart of sweet Tiare flower is accentuated with the notes of tuberose, ylang-ylang and orange blossom; all that is followed by powdery trace of orris and Tonka bean, and sensual mix of vanilla and balsam.I guess powdery plastic vanilla incense is a thing and it's good. I have so many perfumes in my cache that I forget about Lou Lou sometimes.I have a vintage bottle with the original formulation. Try to find the vintage formulation, totally worth it. this is so beautiful how can anyone don't like this? It was either gawdly or artful depending on the person just like the parfum itself. I still love her after all these years but, no one loves me with her. I have come to the conclusion that she is the equivalent of Thrills gum (which I still chew) and in some ways the scent of her tastes like Thrills gum...never to be forgotten whether good or bad.But it is more balsamic on my mom in law and really sillage bomb on her. HP and Lou Lou both of them are not sweet on me, they are powdery vanilla. Needed more attempts to understand it, but finally I`ve fell in love with this unique scent. I`ve tested it in work - inside manufacturing plant in full production (with warm & heavy stinky air) and I could clearly smell Lou Lou for 3-4 hours, so it`s really strong perfume with great longevity.I have Eden too, which is by reviews stronger than Lou Lou, but after testing both Lou Lou is the stronger one and more pleasant for me.
